After a very long day yesterday, we are so ready for more fun and adventure on our third day in VanCity. We decided to go first at the Vancouver Aquarium where a variety of colourful and interesting sea creatures are found. The Aquarium is situated at Stanley Park.
At the Vancouver Aquarium I met Ben Lecomte, a famous long distance swimmer who will be conquering the Pacific Ocean, swimming from Tokyo, Japan to San Francisco, California for 180 days at 8 hours per day for 7 days a week. Ben’s motive in doing this challenge is to provide awareness and education to protect the environment for its sustainability. To check more about Ben Lecomte you can visit his website at http://www.thelongestswim.com or hit the like button on his Facebook Page- The Longest Swim or follow him on Twitter or hashtag #thelongestswim to help him with his advocacy and journey.
There’s a cool 4D show at the Vancouver Aquarium that you shouldn’t miss. They have different stories/documentaries shown at different time slots.
We went to Granville Island to eat late lunch after having a great time at the Vancouver Aquarium. Granville Island is a shopping district in VanCity, located across False Creek from Downtown Vancouver, under the South End of the Granville Street Bridge. The place has a large public market, marina, art galleries, local souvenir shops, restaurants and performing arts theatre.
We may have limited time to tour around Vancouver but everything was worth it and fun. This trip was a stress reliever for me after working so hard and haven’t gone somewhere else after my Chicago Trip last December 2013. I will for sure come back in Vancouver and still be amazed of its beauty and enjoy the hustle of the Metropolis Life.
