August Long Weekend 2014

Last August long weekend me and my family went to Castle Falls Provincial Recreation Area. A 2 hour drive from Lethbridge close to Pincher Creek and Castle Mountain Ski Resort. Going there for the first time excites me a lot as I heard and saw nice stories and photos of the place .I didn’t get to have a straight long weekend holiday this time as I have to work on Monday but still no one can stop me to go out and enjoy the beautiful summer sunshine. It is also my first time driving to that area and doing back and forth drive for that day trip. While driving, you get to see not the just the magnificent Alberta prairies but also a glimpse view of the Canadian Rockies. Some parts of the drive you can experience super sharp shoulders and curves so be cautious and drive safe.

Be it if you are going there for camping or just a day trip picnic with family and friends you will not regret it as you will really enjoy the view and experience, especially jumping off from a cliff/rock down to the magnificent blue/green freezing water. Summer 2014 is nearly close to its end. So everyone, we should make the most out of it. Go out and enjoy the remaining days of summer sunshine.
