Umami (/uːˈmɑːmi/), a savory taste, is one of the five basic tastes (together with sweet, sour, bitter and salty).
The good thing about living in a mid size city you get to experience a variety of local shops/businesses. Last weekend after we went thrift shopping for clothes we decided to chill out at The Umami Shop, I’ve been there before and knew that they offer food/snack but haven’t really tried dining inside. Umami Shop truly a one stop shop, they have a variety of goods from all over the world and they even offer cooking lessons sharing the umami ways of cooking different cuisines.

I love the cozy and chill spot feeling at their dining area, the owners were also accommodating and pleasant I also heard they have french macaroons but too bad they ran out when we went there. The tarts are a must try if you visit the Umami Shop. The food presentation is amazing as well. Oh my! I would love to go back there and experience more of their food and also looking forward to enroll in one of their cooking lessons.
Thank you Umami Shop for the wonderful experience.
